Welcome to the Sherwood Forest Steam Railway, a little railway nestled deep in the Sherwood Forest Farm Park, near Edwinstowe, Nottinghamshire.

We are a 5/8th scale, 15” gauge railway running through cuttings, tunnels and across level crossings on our 1 mile ride through various rare breeds and other farmyard animals, running to the principals of early Narrow Gauge railways that were first used in the construction of roads, railways and water navigations in the late Nineteenth and early Twentieth century.

Rediscover the charm of shining brass and the smell of steam with our stable of  small, but perfectly formed locomotives and hear the whistle blow when you ride behind in one of our  comfortable coaches.
