Text Box: Welcome to the Sherwood Forest Steam Railway, a little railway near Edwinstowe, Nottinghamshire. We are a 5/8th scale, 15” gauge railway running through cuttings, tunnels and across level crossings on our 1 mile ride through traditional farmland, to the principals of early Narrow Gauge railways that were first used in the construction of roads, railways and water navigations in the late Nineteenth and early Twentieth century. Rediscover the charm of shining brass and the smell of steam with our stable of small, but perfectly formed locomotives and hear the whistle blow when you ride behind in one of our comfortable coaches. Please have a browse around and see all the aspects of our charming little line, and to see what is happening throughout the year.
