Works in progress.

Another British Autumn...

07/11/08                 The Railway is now closed, but that doesn’t mean that the hard work stops. In fact, in many senses, it has only just begun! This winter will see a lot of minor tweaks and maintenance, along with the shelter being erected at Weldale. Please keep checking up on us, the web site will be updated as regularly as possible and all the works will be recorded here in pictures.

Lottie has gone on Holiday! After some unforeseen delays (sickness and work commitments) she has been re-gauged and has gone on loan to a private railway in the Midlands. Click here to see a few photo’s...

Stop press!!!

We are delighted to reveal that we have had a very kind donation of the remains of four more ex-longleat, Minirail coaches from The Lappa Valley Railway. Many thanks to all involved with this project.

18/12/08                  Sorry about the lack of updates. This means that far from being still, an awful lot has been happening which has meant time on the PC is at a premium!

The Standard Gauge point levers have been sold off to make way for some more of our own type of lever. Whilst these are being made, we’ve taken the opportunity to adjust the geometry of the points. This isn’t a simple job, but will make the ride a lot smother, as well as reducing the wear on the wheels. This means that a couple of wheel sets need regauging, so has added even more work! The re-greasing of the fishplates is going well. We are in the process of have a batch of CNC wheels produced for another project which is now occupying most of our free time. More on this to come... Lottie is still away on her holidays, having a whale of a time on a lovely railway. We expect her to return in the New Year. Pictures will be added soon,
